The first of six sustainable architecture courses delivered by the Royal Society of Architects in Wales (RSAW) and the Welsh School of Architecture (WSA) has been launched as an online course.
The Sustainability Jigsaw is an informative and interactive session that will help learners to understand, manage and prioritise the legislative and regulatory requirements for various types of projects. They will gain an understanding of the Sustainable Development remit of the Welsh government and its impact on the design and construction sectors.
Following registration, the course is available via BEST’s online learning environment BEST Bolt and is delivered by a combination of presentations and recordings made at workshop sessions delivered across Wales in Autumn 2014, and a list of references for further reading. Learners will also be able to discuss topics raised within an online Sustainable Architecture forum.
Other courses delivered within the Sustainable Architecture programme will be follow shortly, one every 2 weeks. Learners will only need to enrol once onto these sessions and will be automatically enrolled onto other Sustainable Architecture courses as they become available.
