‘We want the best people, designing the best water solutions in Wales’.
Earlier this year, BEST Programme Director Julie Gwilliam sat down with Duncan McCombie, Director of Operations, Energy Saving Trust to talk about the training courses under development through the BEST programme for professionals in the water sector.
Talking Water is a short film that highlights the Energy Saving Trust’s report into the skills needs of the water sector in Wales, detailing some of the training courses that are currently being developed in areas such as Sustainable urban Drainage Schemes (SuDS) and Green Roofs and rainwater harvesting systems. You can view the film on BEST’s website or via YouTube, click here.
The Summary Skills Needs Analysis for Water has recently been published by BEST and underlines the shape of the sector, giving a summary of the report’s findings and recommendations for the policy drivers and priority areas for training.
