BIM for Facilities Management
The construction and operation of buildings is responsible for around half of the UK’s CO2 emissions. It is therefore no surprise that the Construction sector has of late come under heightened scrutiny.
The way in which we operate and maintain our buildings has never been more important; clients are increasingly demanding information in relation to cost savings around waste, efficiency and overall maintenance costs of our built assets. During the design and construction phase a lot of this information is captured. The way in which we capture this information can be greatly improved through the use of building information modelling (BIM).
Project Five Consulting and the BEST Programme are delivering a series of free, accredited BIM for Facilities Management courses aimed at bridging the gap between BIM and building operations.
BIM for Facilities Management is a three day CQFW Level 3 accredited course. The course is aimed at making the use of building information modelling (BIM) relevant and understandable to facilities managers, building/asset owners and other members of the construction supply chain involved in building management and maintenance.
Who can attend?
This workshop is FREE and aimed at anyone living or working in one of Wales’ Convergence areas. Whether you have never heard of BIM or are starting to get to grips with what BIM means, this workshop is for you.
