The Construction and Demolition (C&D) sector accounts for one third of all waste arisings. Savings can be easily made by adopting best practices in site waste management.

At this session you will learn about the legal and policy framework that governs C&D waste, the opportunities to manage waste and how to save costs.

Course details

This course will be supported by:

• A face to face session at a location convenient to you

• Online material: accessible via Desktop / tablet or mobile both pre– and post– session

• Assessment: this can be completed online and is related to practical waste activities within your organisation

Participants who complete the entire course will qualify for a 1-credit qualification.  Participants only attending the face-to-face session will achieve a CPD certificate.

Who should take the course

This course is aimed at Site Managers and other site professionals with responsibilities for waste.

In order to attend the course free of charge you must fit the eligibility criteria:

  • Live or work in one of Wales' Convergence Areas
  • Be employed or self employed
  • Work in the built environment sector or allied services
  • NOT work for a Public Sector organisation

In order to ensure the eligibility of delegates, you will be asked to complete a Participant Form and supplementary information to evidence eligibility.
